We begin with NJT ALP-46 #4624 at New York Penn Station along with Amtrak ACS-86 #639.
Skipping ahead a bit I next caught Amtrak Acela Express power car #2032 just east of the SS71 DEVON movable bridge.
View through the Connecticut River drawbridge.
New Haven tower SS119 GROTON near New London, CT.
More New Haven RR towers near Providence. SS154 LAWN and SS156 BOSTON SWITCH.
Although I already had completed my video documentation of the NEC I set up the camera again to capture the changes between the rebuilt Kingston Station and the new TF Greene Airport station as well as everything between Providence and Route 128.
Front of Acela power car #2037 at Boston South Station.
MBTA HSP-46 #2004 and GP40MC #1125 also at Boston South Station.
I only had a limited opportunity for Boston transit pics like MBTA Type 8 #3859 at Arlington.
My return trip was via the Acela with power car #2006 on point.
#2006 again with ACS-86 #644 at New York Penn.
Some of the original 1911 Penn Station signals are still in place!
Unfortunately a trespasser strike near Bowie, MD resulted in our train being held at Baltimore Penn, irritatingly close to my ultimate destination of the BWI Airport Rail Station where my car was. As it was Sunday light rail service had already ended for the night.
After two hours of trains stacking up on all the adjacent tracks I just gave up and called a Lyft, although things started moving not long after. As an Acela rider I was compensated with about $200 in travel credit for my trouble, so there's that.
I'll wrap things up with this picture of a fuzzy deer in my yard.
Next week I'll begin coverage of my 3 day, 2 night Texas Eagle trip to Dallas.
